OvO: GENRE-COLLAPSING NOISENIKS ANNOUNCE UK DATES WITH GNAW;
NEW 12″ EP TO BE RELEASED ON CORPOC
   In November of last year, genre smashing avant experimentalists, OvO released their mammoth new full-length, Abisso issued via Supernatural Cat which was met with great acclaim, many hailing it the duo’s best yet. Following a successful mainland Europe tour, OvO shall be touring a handful of dates in the UK with close collaborators, New York’s Gnaw, fronted by ex-Khanate vocalist Alan Dubin, who featured on Abisso (listen to that track here). Expect splintered, shattered panes of abrasive sound, collisions and cacophonies, suffocating dark and blinding light – expect the unexpected. The dates are as follows –

GNAW + OVO
May 1st London, The Victoria (with Shitwife)
May 2nd Liverpool, Mellomello
May 3rd Glasgow, The 13th Note
May 4th Newcastle, Leave Me Here Fest (with Necro Deathmord, Ommadon and more)
OVO ONLY
May 5th Birmingham, Wagon And Horse
OvO will also be releasing a two track 12″ EP in the near future, with two more tracks from the same recording sessions which spawned Abisso. Side A’s ‘Averno’ is an electronic mantra, whilst on the flip side, ‘Oblio’ is a long, black march. Limited to 500 silkscreened copies and available from CORPOC, you will also be to get your hands on a copy at one of the live dates listed above.
ABOUT ABISSO
Abisso finds the curious noise duo of Stefania Pedretti and Bruno Dorella taking their unorthodox compositions to entirely new dark, rhythmic, and often suffocating realms.
Where Cor Cordium and previous offering, CroceVia, were veritable points-of-no-return for their minimal rock structures, with Dorella’s half drum set and Pedretti’s guitar and penetrating vocal gymnastics swirling into a detached otherworldly kingdom of curiosity, Abisso travels far beyond those confines, using contemporary music tools to maintain their unparalleled creativity and eternal evolution.
Samples, drum machines, pads, field recordings and synths converge into a harrowingly alluring sound that haunts the ears with ancestral urgency. With the help of Giulio “Ragno” Favero at the mixing desk, Giovanni Versari’s mastering, and the friendly collaboration of Gnaw’s Alan Dubin (OLD and Khanate) and Carla Bozulich with her full band, Evangelista, OvO have traversed into new territories of extreme and adventurous listeners are taking notice.
Abisso is out NOW via Supernatual Cat. Order your copy HERE.
