Scuzzy punk rock Brooklynites The So So Glos are set to come to the UK for a series of dates alongside Ezra Furman & The Boy Friends and a headline show at London’s The Garage on February 20^th. You can watch the video for their explosive track ‘Son Of An American’ now, due for its debut UK release on March 10^th.

Having already stormed the US with tours supporting the likes of … And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead, Titus Andronicus and Desparecidos, The So So Glos are not to be missed as they prepare for the UK release of their new album Blowout in May, via Votiv/Caroline International.

The band are recognised in the US for their active participation in New York’s all-ages venues and the DIY movement with their chaotic yet rousing brand of punk rock and famed for their killer live shows.

Brothers Alex and Ryan Levine, originally from Bay Ridge, met drummer Zach Staggers in pre-school. Through divorces and remarriages, Zach became their step-brother and they began playing music at a very early age. Over the course of their childhood, the three brothers moved around the New York metropolitan area frequently, yet always devoted time to writing and playing music together.

They became The So So Glos in 2007, the same year they self-released their eponymous debut, recorded after-hours in a Staten Island studio with childhood friend Adam Reich. Guitarist Matt Elkin joined the band late in the year, just prior to their first cross-country tour.

The band have already seen huge support in the US from the likes of Rolling Stone, Pitchfork and Stereogum and last year made their television debut with a stellar performance on the Late Show with David Letterman.

Their upcoming UK tour comes before returning to the US for SXSW and dates with The Front Bottoms and Rocket from the Crypt. Don’t miss them!
