Electro-punk MC Itch will be giving Brighton a taster of his hard-hitting, beats fuelled sound at this year’s Great Escape Festival. Performing two shows on Saturday 18th May, this will be Itch’s first solo outing at the festival since the split of his former band The King Blues.

Itch’s first show will be at Above Audio 2.15pm, on a bill that also includes John Newman. Later that day, Itch will perform at The Brighton Museum at 9pm for a special The Great Escape: Unplugged showcase. This show all ages and free to the public – not just festival ticket holders.

Itch will drop his debut album later this year through Red Bull Records. Incorporating elements of punk, dubstep, hip-hop and pop, Itch’s sound is a no-holds barred aural assault, which maintains the unique flow and melodies he’s best known for. This year Itch will perform at Slam Dunk Festival on the 25th, 26th and 27th May, before heading to the US for a stint on this summer’s Warped Tour. Itch was also one of the first names to be announced for the UK’s Warped Tour show at Alexandra Palace this November.
