NOZSTOCK: THE HIDDEN VALLEY
More Line Up and Comedy News!

Nozstock: The Hidden Valley is pleased to announce Alabama 3, Vintage Trouble and 6 Day Riot have now been added to this year’s music line up.

The comedy headliners are also confirmed as Phil Kay, Abandoman, Rob Rouse and the Stephen Frost Impro Allstars as part of the round-the-clock Laughing Stock billing.

Phil Kay’s up-to-the-minute reflections and philosophies have proved a winning formula for this successful funny man. Abandoman are also a welcome addition to the bill. Winners of two newcomer awards in 2010 their hysterical musical comedy sketches are perfect for summer festival madness. Rob Rouse’s cheeky banter and comedic workouts from The Stephen Frost Impro Allstars should also prove popular headliners over the weekend.

Alabama 3 are well known festival favorites with their raunchy mix of country, punk and techno. Vintage Trouble from Beverly Hills are newcomers who have a fresh take on old style r&b. Suited and booted, this band made a great impression on viewers of Later With Jools a few weeks ago.

In other news:

Nozstock will be staging a takeover of local club The Jailhouse this Friday to bring their regulars a taster of all that intriguing music and performance they’ll get to enjoy at the festival. Joining them on this next stint are pioneers of the live dubstep scene, the mighty JAZZSTEPPA.

Nozstock: The Hidden Valley

Amid the brushes of Herefordshire’s countryside lies Nozstock: The Hidden Valley. Founded by local residents during the hazy, optimistic and halcyon days at the turn of the millennium, it’s a homegrown event built from a curious amalgamation of performance, art, electronic supersounds and good old-fashioned guitar-strumming and drum-bashing. Now an established, leading family event in its 13th year, Nozstock is a sonic escape boasting eight main stages of entertainment with surprising sights and intimate, secluded areas of theatre and discovery to be unearthed.

When its visitors down tools and hand themselves over to the laid back atmosphere of the event for three pleasure-filled days, there’s a small world of frivolity to find, all scrupulously programmed by the festival’s founders, the Nosworthy family and their eclectically-informed friends.

The festival’s ethos is about bringing play to everyone, in whatever form it can. Nozstock believes in the value of not only entertaining, but in participation and contribution. Above all, Nozstock: The Hidden Valley is a blissful family festival that caters to all ages with activities that little ones can enjoy as well as families en bloc, keeping in the spirit of those early days.

This year’s theme: ‘Twisted Carnival’.
