Jónsi – Go Do from Jónsi on Vimeo.
Just how beautiful is this track and video?
Sigur Rós frontman Jónsi Birgisso is an increasing post-rock icon, now succesfully developing his own solo career, which unmistakenly still carries the Sigur Rós sound. Whislt Sigur Rós are on “an indefinite hiatus” following many of the band members having children, Jónsi has yet to stop.
Last year saw the release of the album “Riceboy Sleeps” a collaboration of Jónsi and his partner Alex Somers. Their first album together consisted of 68 minutes (9 tracks) of pure instrumental played solely on acoustic instruments.
This year Jónsi has been working on his solo album GO. The album was released on April 5, 2010, through XL Recordings and is now available worldwide.

Go contains nine songs amassed from the large pool of songs written by jónsi during his many years with sigur rós. the album is sung in english and icelandic, and was co-produced by jónsi, his partner alex somers and peter katis (the national, interpol).

You can listen to the album below, but definetly invest in this timeless record.
